Xiaomi Mi A3 review

Xiaomi Mi A1 was the booster for the entire Android One program and paved the way for a fruitful Xiaomi-Google relationship. The Mi A2 was a major but contentious upgrade that ultimately cemented the Mi A1 as the ultimate agreement. And now, the Mi A3 is attempting to correct all the mistakes and get back to the top.

On a Super AMOLED screen, the Android purists can now enjoy the Google vanilla experience. There is a fresh chipset from Snapdragon promising blazing-fast efficiency in gaming. Then you should be able to snap some excellent photos day and night with a trending triple camera. Finally, the big 4,030 mAh battery inside is supposed to assist you do all these stuff for many, many hours. The Xiaomi Mi A3 presents a fresh design of glass, leaving the sturdy but somewhat obsolete shells of metal. And by choosing Gorilla Glass 5 for both the front and back, the Mi A3 still likes to maintain it as secure as possible.

Probably the most exciting new item, the camera now features a main shooter of 48MP and an ultra-angle snapper of 8MP. The third eye is a depth sensor, which may seem useless, but we're always in for a surprise in portraits. Let's take a deep dive into the specs sheet before we put the Mi A3 through its paces.

The elephant is definitely standing out in the room, the 720p screen, and not in a healthy manner. We've been working on such a low-res screen for a while, let alone a PenTile AMOLED. But let's remain positive and offer it a reasonable opportunity, are we?
