Apple Card Unboxing & Impressions!

Apple Card clients are beginning to receive the physical titanium card after a restricted preview release previously this week. This associates the physical card with the digital Apple Card credit card already set up in the Wallet app.

The physical Apple Card is produced of titanium and the name of the customer is engraved in the metal by Apple. There are no other printed features that identify the card, such as expiry dates or account numbers. The front of the card contains only the name of the owner, the chip and the Apple logo. The opposite of the card involves the logo of Mastercard and Goldman Sachs, which serves as the Apple Card service's banking partners for Apple.

Apple touts that the Apple Card has no fees, like late fees or currency foreign exchange fees. Interest rate charges are between 13-24% depending on an individual's credit rating. The Apple Wallet app includes several features to help spender's pay off their debt and keep interest payments low, so people know what they will owe at the end of each month upfront.

Apple expects most transactions of the Apple Card to take place electronically, using contactless Apple Pay. Apple Card involves cashback 'Daily Cash' 2% for all Apple Pay transactions, 3% for any Apple purchase, and 1% for physical card sales.

The physical titanium card functions as a status symbol and a technique of fallback payment to purchase products in locations that have no contactless transaction equipment.
